So far I have walked 1-2miles every day this week. I have been surprised as to how the weight watchers e-tool really helps me I just love to click on the activity tracker and receive a little smiley face for doing so. I know it is so dumb sounding to some but I love it when I receive praise even from a computer :) LOL.
Today I want to talk about one of my motivations to keep on in this program. My husband, Carl. Unlike many other stories of women who were size 2-8 when they married I was a size 22. My husband, whom I consider to be very handsome fell in love with a so called "fat girl." He loves everything about my body down to the very last flop :) He has never once looked at me and said "I would like you to be more skinny." I have gained 60pds in the last 4yrs of marriage, and I am sure the 2pregnancys i had in there didn't help that weight gain :) And even now my husband thinks I'm beautiful. He has not a single time ever intentionally made me feel otherwise. He didn't even ask me to join weight watchers.
The other day we were reading different success stories together and I showed him one of a woman's before and after picture of losing 211.8 pds. My husband said something to me that inspired me even more to keep on this journey. He said, "I think she looks beautiful in both pictures but she definitely looks more healthier in one." My heart just skipped and I fell in love all over with my husband. How many men can look at a woman's before and after picture and say "she's beautiful" in both and actually mean it. This inspires me because I know that my husband thinks I am beautiful now at the weight that I am he is not asking me to become more "beautiful" or more attractive because he already thinks I'm pretty hot now; that gives me confidence to persevere and to rejoice in the little success I face every time I make a healthy food or exercise decision.
If your a man reading this I would encourage you to find the beauty in the women in your life now it will inspire them to keep moving forward. And if you are a woman reading this I would encourage you to know that losing weight or maintain it (if you are at a healthy one) isn't going to make you more beautiful-because you already are-but it will make you more healthy.
Is there any one in your life that helps give you the confidence to move forward :)
