Today seemed like it would be a great day to go to the Zoo. We have a Zoo pass and right now that means it gets me, the babies, and a guest in for free. We have found that the Zoo pass has been well worth the $70 investment as it really does pay for itself after 3visits and seriously the rest of the visits are free! It's great! It also helps us avoid really long lines at the ticket counter during heavy zoo traffic days. Such was a day today. It is a nice, cool, spring day and perfect for time spent outdoors (which my babies love) but the Zoo was full of other like minded parents that wanted to seize the opportunity. Unfortunately busy Zoo days mean that it is harder for Ellie to see the animals - as not every parent and child team is a considerate one- so we mostly spent the hour just walking. I did however snap these pictures of the children.
Please keep in mind that Ellie can not go a single Zoo trip without at least throwing 2 sometimes 3 tantrums and I am learning that maybe I just need to relax a little more and let the girl have some fun! But it is hard for me to do when the zoo is full of people and I worry too much about Ellie getting lost in the crowds so for now until I get a Zoo Buddie Ellie will have to follow her Mommy's rules and stick close.
He is always content when he is on a walk. He is getting so big!
Ellie just doesn't understand why she can't go into the Flamingo's habbitat
Can you believe how precious these two are!
I also always try to make a Zoo Day a special day we either pack a picnic lunch when we our on group play dates with friends or we go through a drive through some where for a "manwhich" and nuggets!
Oh how I thank the good Lord for Zoo Days!!!
