Momentous Monday

It's 8:30pm and that means that it is still momentous Monday. My precious moment from last week would have to be the birth of my 2nd child, Zachary William. He was born at 7:51am via C-Section weighing 9pds 14oz.

I must say having a c-section isn't as bad as some people make it out to be but maybe I feel that way because I actually feel 10x's better with this c-section than I did after the vaginal birth of my first child. Strange how those things work sometimes.

And I won't lie, it actually felt really good being under all the anesthesia as I had a very uncomfortable pregnancy with Zach and it was a blessing to not feel anything in that realm for a few hours.

I am truly thankful that God had his sovereign hand over my son's birth. The most precious moment for me was the first moment I got to hold him. Even though he was born at 7:51am I did not get the opportunity to hold him until 2:30pm. When he was born he was very purple and having trouble taking in oxygen so they kept him in the nursery under supervision until his oxygen levels were where they are supposed to be and then they had to keep him under a warmer because his temperature had dropped dramatically from the loss of oxygen.

So finally being able to hold him was truly a very special moment for me. This pic isn't the best of me but i do believe it conveys my genuine excitement over my special little/big guy.

OOOOhhhh congrats on your new baby boy!!! Reading your story and seeing your pics gave me baby fever! Way to go on being SO brave about the C-section..I'm in awe of mommas like you!

I'm sure those few hours of not being able to hold him were torture, but it looks like it made that first time all the more sweet!

God is so good and faithful!!!

I didn't participate in Momentous Monday this week, but I've gotta say...you've got a good one! :D
