Thanks Giving Holiday

Sorry, i forgot my camera when we went on our little vacation to Michigan. I'm very sad about it now but oh well, we still have plenty of memories.
My favorite memory of the trip though would have to be when Carl and I went over to my Dad's house for dinner on Friday night and my dad was drinking just enough to make him feel really good...(lol), and then out of no where he starts singing the 'lolly pop' song from The Wizard of Oz.

What was even more humorous was on Saturday we told him how funny it was that he was singing that song and he denied even singing it. And we said "oh yes you did." Which then led him to ask what had brought that out of him...we told him only a couple of glasses of coke and Bacardi mixed together. I know it's sad to say this but sometimes i perfer my dad when he's drunk.

Well we did have a wonderful Thanks Giving Feast ourselves with my friend Elizabeth Scheilder as well. It was only the four of us. My dad, Carl, Elizabeth and myself but it was a lot of fun. We then followed our feast with a trip over to my Aunt's house who was having a little bit of a get together herself where Carl and I played with My Aunt and cousin a twisted game of Pictionary
Where I pursued to draw a horrific picture of the Bionic Woman...that left a 10 year old boy scarred for the rest of his life I'm sure.
On Saturday Elizabeth and Jennifer through me a baby shower at the Church. Where i got to reconnect with some precious ladies who really supported me in a lot of different ways. Donna was there...and it was good to see her she looks amazing by the way in case any of you were wondering. Ms. Agnes believe it or not is now 92yrs old, still healthy as ever, and still driving.
We received a lot of baby clothes which we desperately needed. Some cloth diapers which we were really thankful for, and an infant car seat which is a huge blessing to us. Oh and Carl actually won one of the shower games but passed the prize on to Donna as he was a little embarrassed and never really wanted to win.

We are now home and very happy to be home of course...but I already miss my friends and family. I guess I probably always will :)
