So it looks like Carl might have a new job as a door to door sales men for a internet and cable company. Not the most ideal for us since the hours kind of stink (12-9pm and even later if he doesn't make his quota for the day) and the pay is mostly commission. We're still praying about it and obviously we're skeptical about any sales positions right now the way the economy is most people are getting rid of their cable and internet...ect not wanting to update it. But they have great benefits...lol.
We're also not sure because of the hours he'll be working Monday -Friday's 12-9Pm and Saturdays like 10-6 and he'll need the car all day...which leaves me with no car and very few places that are close enough to walk to...I'm trying not to complain about it but hopefully i'm not the only one that can see some down falls to it.
However we realize this may be what the Lord is providing and for that reason we aren't complaining it does have potential to meet our needs abundantly so we're trying to remain hopeful and trusting in Him.
In the mean time i'm trying to figure out what it means to be a stay at home house wife without feeling like i'm completely wasting my life away. Carl and I sat down last night and figured out some meaningful ways i could spend my days doing things other than just cleaning.
We've got a lot of neighbors and i would love to reach out to them i'm just not sure how to do it. And i'm also a little scared so we figured we could start with something cheap and simple by just giving everyone a Christmas card and saying "Hey we're here."
We still aren't settled into a church yet all though we've found some good ones we just don't feel as though any of them are the place we are supposed to serve in. It's kind of tough some are just too far out of our community, others are rampent with just young people and then others just old people, and very few have any cultural diversity in them. I'm starting to get anxious about not having a church to call home...but we also know that searching and waiting on the Lord's leading is very good too.
So if you think about it those would be all good things to pray for us about...hope everyone else is doing well :)

Sara, honey, this job has red flags on it's red flags. Listen to your friend and RUN AWAY.
Seriously, go flip burgers before you take this kind of job. I'm not kidding you.
Thanks for the honest feed back, neither of us were sold on it and are both glad we're not the only ones to see the flags.
It's hard though, Carl's job with his old company is all done now and the only other job he's been able to find is a substitute teaching which is something but doesn't pay a lot. It would still be better than the sales though...
We're just trusting and praying
Hi, I got your name from Jeannie Soandso, She said you were a very nice person and might be interested in helping me with my college education. May I make an appointment to come and talk to you? You don't have to BUY anything..no no...I get paid just for making a presentation!! YES..thats RIGHT you don't have to buy anything.
Cutco knives?
What? Oh...you think we are overpriced?...
Yah...as being on the RECEIVING end of sales pitches..>BLEH.
That being said, Carl working is priority ..you having car unfortunately is not a priority. You will learn to go shopping when you can etc. SO been there done that. Plus..for 6 months or so...You can just be a milk machine, if you think THAT isn't making money by saving money..look at the cost of a can of formula!
