Memorial Day Weekend was great! My husband started the weekend off by taking me on a mini-shopping spree where we found some hot sales and some cool clothing for the summer months. Then we went out to eat at the olive Garden where we were able to get a meal for only a little over $20.00. We did this by ordering an apetizer and then we ordered a pasta entre that was big enough to split. This worked out real well because the entre meant we got the salad and breadsticks for free. We were proud of ourselves for being able to eat at a somewhat high priced restaurant for less. Oh and then we finished the evening by watching a Harry Potter movie and now my husband and i are both addicted to the series.
We spent Saturday lounging around the house and then we spent some time out in the beautiful sun at the park. Where we discussed theology, relatioships, God, and Children circumlam for Sudnay morning.
Sunday we went to church and had a great time teaching the 4-6th graders. This was our last lesson to teach for the summer. i also made some connections with some other couples at church and we've got a couple of dinner dates planned.
We then took advatage of Subways $5.00 subs and took another trip in the sun at the park. We came home spent sometime cleaning and relaxing at home ant then we headed to Panera's where we worked on our finances. We were very thankful for Uncle Sams stimulous package but we are still trying to figure out what we are going to do with it all. We went home fixed supper took a walk and watched, yet another, Harry Potter flick
Monday was probably by far our favorite day all though i was in a lot of lower back pain for some odd reason.
On Monday morning we had a lovely breakfast together and then we went up to Gettysburg to remember some of our nations fallen hero's. It was truly powerful and was my first time taking an entire tour of the battle field. Besides the cost for gas it was a relatively inexpensive trip as teh auto tour guide CD was only $20.00 and is worth the investment because it can be used for any other trip that we may take there again.
So that was my Memorial day weekend. I hope that yours was just as enjoyable in its own way :)
