Life, love, and weddings...

This past weekend was great and at the same time challenging. Carl and I worked through some wedding details which also included changing the date to October 6th of this year. While i wasn't the happiest camper about this decision I also think that after I move out to Maryland on the 27th of July that i will be very thankful for the extra time to adjust to living in a new place. Not only that but as Carl has said it will be great just to 'be together' after spending a good portion of our dating relationship 'far apart'. So mark your Calenders and pray on the 6th of October. Though most of you who read this will be invited to the wedding itself. Yeah.

Other news: Carl and I also had some wonderful pre-marital counseling and while many of the subjects approached were things that I was already well aware of...it was a good reminder for me. I made a mental list of many areas that i know i will need to be careful in.

This weekend also reassured me of one thing. I am truly marrying an incredible, godly and very ( and i mean very) patient man. I can tell you how many times i got sick of 'planning' (for those who know me you know that i am not a planner) and yet Carl was still very loveing and very patient with me. It was good to see us work through some things, together, and as a team. I think one of the biggest, for the lack of a better word, philosophy's of our marriage be that we are a team.

So there's a Bridal shower being planned for me sometime soon :) and i'm looking forward to the fun. I think that it will be a great time!!! Thanks Jaye T and Vanessa and the rest of the ladies.

I have a wedding dress for the value of 799.00 being shipped to Vanessa's but we got it for 230...talk about a blessing, PLUS!!!! Carl's mom is a wonderful seamtress and thinks that we could put some bead work into it after i move out... I LOVE BEADS!!!! So that made me really happy and excited and encouraged...my 'dream dress' is in the makings but i somehow get the feeling that it will look and be better than the original dress i had picked. Thanks again Vanessa for all of your wisdom and patience and prayers for me in this :)

I have less than 6 weeks of work left at the weirdest job i have ever had and less than 6 weeks until i get to see the most amazing man i've ever know...next to Jesus of course..lol

So theirs a brief update on life, love, lessons and dresses..

I love you all...
