I've been reflecting on how God has worked in my life during the last 9 years since i have been a follower of his Son and this recent reflection has taken me down an exploration of blogs of a few friends of mine back in highschool that had shown me my first real glimps of true Christianity.
Before Robb,
Before Vannessa,
there were the WOLFGANG BROTHERS!
None of these young men can be placed on a pedestal for they have all had their not so shining moments in life. Each have struggled through their own hurts, their own sins, their own trials, their own circumstances that at times have taken them farther from God and yet have drawn them closer to him as a result.
They weren't perfect then and I doubt that their wives (for two of them) or their family would say that they were perfect now. However these brothers each played a unique roll in my christian development.
Joel: was a picture of forgiveness, love, and grace
Jacob: was a picture of Jesus seeking the lost sheep
Justin: was a picture of unique friendship.
Now i read through each of these young men's websites and i can see the places that God has taken them through and grown them in and out of...it truly is amazing how he works in each of our lives.
If it werent' for these three brother's welcoming me into a 'new world' where i wasn't quite yet the insider i may not have kept going to church, I may not have met the people that have shaped my world, I may not be the person you all know today.
So where are these old friends of mine...
Joel serves with his amazing wife as a youth pastor check out his BLOG!
Jacob serves with his wife as an incredible musician...WOW...check out his site...make sure you click on the picture when you get there and then at the bottom of the screen you'll see a long rectangular box...click on that to listen to some incredible music...WOW!!!!
And Justin is pursuing his dream to be a journalists...
Talk about God's grace pouring down...
If any of you brother's read this...THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
For giving someone like me a fighting chance...
