I bought a short book for my father called...The Heart of a tender warior becoming a man of purpose. by Stu Weber..
Ladies, I strongly recommend that you pay the 10 dollars for this 95pg book and buy it for your husbands, fathers, brothers, and even for friends. This book addresses the issue that we as women face with the men in our lives and it is a challenge to them to review what real masculinity is, to review how exactly God really did wire them...
It is a great read, i read it in about 1hour, it's that well written..the following is an excerpt that a daughter wrote concerning about her father..
" I'm thirty seven years old now and beginning to see how much i am still compelled by a deep craving within to gain the approval of this most significant man. You see, if my own father doesn't think I'm worthwhile, I must be worthless. If my own father can't accept me, then I am unacceptable. If my own father cannot love me, then i must be totally unlovable. If I'm truly worthless and unacceptable and unlovable, then God couldn't really love me. And certainly my dear husband, who is only human, couldn't really love me..."
That was only part of the letter...but this book addresses the issue to men about what a wife, a daughter, a brother, a son...need to see from them...for us all it is more than just about provision it is about the heart.
Buy it, read it, give it, and live it.

i haven't met a man yet who would actually read something i asked him to. (well, luke might...i haven't ever asked him).
it is a great read...i'm telling you its only 95pg's and it isn't a "mushy feely" book...it actually is a very manly way to talk about being the man a woman needs...and being a father that children need
