I'm not feeling so great today. I think it has to do with fresh cut grass, pollen in the air, and other allergy related stuff but I am feeling miserable at the moment. I wanted to take a moment and blog about an exciting first in this journey. Thanks to my friend, Heather, I was able to jog for almost a complete 1/2 mile. She really encouraged me and pushed me forward and even got me to jog one last long stretch. It made me feel so great. I never thought I could do something like that. God is being so good by giving me many supporting friends and family members. My friend said that she thought I would be jogging a mile pretty soon. She and I are going to (Lord willing of course) participate in a 5k this fall to benefit Breast Cancer research ect. I would love to be able to jog most of those 3miles at least the first and the last ;) So I better keep the training up now.
Why did we choose this particular 5k? Well my Grandmother (Edna Eleanor) died after a long fight with Breast cancer when I was 14. She raised me and I would not be who I am today if it wasn't for the sacrificial love she gave to me. Obviously Jesus used her greatly in my life and we (my husband and I) honored her by naming our first daughter after her, Eleanor (we used the middle name), and I would to personally like to honor her in the 5k.
That is all for today :) Zachary has his 15month checkup tomorrow so I am hoping I am feeling better by then.
