Big girl pants on?

I absolutely love the phrase "I've got to put my big girl pants on." It cracks me up just about every time I read that phrase on a girlfriend's blog. Mostly, because, i think of the fact of how very non-often I seem to have my own non-pajama pants on, let alone my big girl pants.

Let's face it, I have a lot of days being 7mths pregnant, tired, and the mother of a 10month old where I want to be the one that can cry and be comforted by someone who has things more together than I. Alas, everyday I wake up and must choose to place my big girl pants on because if I don't then the baby girl doesn't get taken care of, the bills don't get paid on time, the hubby barely makes it to work, dishes don't get done, laundry doesn't get folded and chaos erupts.

And when I have days when I whine, grumble, am distraught or am overly emotional I have to tell myself "Sara, get your big girl pants on." And believe it or not that simple phrase makes me laugh and things don't seem so bad anymore.

You are so right.

I failed.

The washing machine broke, I hurt my back and then I HAD to make something for work tomorrow, so my promise to call you went down the tubes. How does next week look for you???

Dang. You are seven months pregnant? How is that other people seems to make babies a lot faster than I ever made babies? I was pregnant for 22 years I think.

hey we all have those weeks where nothing goes as plan. I'm available next week too :) I hope everything gets to working again for you soon.

I do seem to make babies pretty fast. I think this pregnacy is going by so fast because I had a 4month old when I got pregnant again. No time to stop and focus on the pregnancy most energies get poured into the big sis :)
