God faithfully keeps providing

As I wrote sometime ago we've been just barely squeezing by when it comes to finances and we had quite the "what are we going to do" day earlier this month. But God did indeed 'pull through' just as my husband said and God provided for us $1,525 in gifts over the past 3 weeks. That was not only enough to get us through this month, but enough to help us into November as well as provide for us to get some new tires on the car which we desperately needed. AND $25 of that money was specifically given to us to have a date...it's amazing how God provides even for those small things.

Last night we were on our way home from church talking about the story of Joseph and specifically his captivity in Egypt and how God was in complete control even in Joseph's negative circumstances. We were talking about how it's so easy to think that it is Carl that provides for our family but in reality it is always God that provides for us, he uses it through Carl's job, but Carl's job is a gift from God and that God will be the one to continue to provide for our needs. Hopefully, that will be by giving Carl a second job but if not then God has another plan. So on our way home Carl stopped at BK to buy me a 1 whopper jr, and 1 onion ring, and across the street is the Cracker Barrel where Carl picked up an application. I told him that we were here so we might as well drop it off before we make the rest of the way home. So as I was eating my sandwich in the car, unknown to me, Carl unexpectedly got a informal interview with the manager and the manager said that he would most likely call Carl later this week to set up a proper interview. Awesome how God works, he may not have the job but we are encouraged that he finally has the prospect of at least an interview.

The really amazing thing about all that God has given to us this month is that we didn't even know that we would be needing that much more extra money. A lot of our expenses this month have been because of extra things. Such as property taxes and registration renewal for the car. A new car seat for Ellie, new tires, oil change, the water bill that only comes once every 2months. That on top of our other 'normal' expenses which we were already short about 400 a month and you get even more shortage. But God is so gracious, so wonderful, so faithful, and most importantly so in control over everything.

November is looking pretty good with already having enough money to pay our rent which means it won't have to be taken out of a paycheck that usually goes for utilities. We feel so blessed to belong to a gracious God who cares about the little things in our lives just as much as the big things.

I hope that this brings you encouragement just as it as brought it to our hearts.
