Can I just say

One should not seek biblical counseling if you are looking for a "make me feel good about myself," kind of solution.

I know that Christ as washed me clean of my sins but lets be honest although I have been set free from the guilt, pain, and have the ability to live like Jesus lived I don't often live like I do.

Biblical Counseling makes you look at your flaws and see them for what they really are. I think too often we sugar coat our sins and we make execuses for them and the biggest excuse we often use is "Well Christ forgives me so it's no big deal."

How often do we actually take a look at our slimy hearts and say "Christ, I know that you have forgiven me for this but i dont' want it to stay like this. Will you clean it for me?"

I took a deep look into my heart yesterday and I was ashamed of the things that I saw there. Ashamed because I have the ability to get rid of them and have for so long lazily done nothing about it. Can I just say it hurt...it hurt being forced to look at what my heart is...but it was also hopeful because as a Christian it doesn't have to stay that way.

I wonder how often do Christians as a whole look at their hearts and leave them still filled with slime?

I have many thoughts on this too many to fully articulate well so i suppose these will have to do for now.
