Here she is!!!! My own little admission into the club!

Here's our little Eleanor Grace (Ellie). Isn't she precious! Of course I'm biased but I'm allowed to be I did push this kid out.
Carl and I agree that she looks like both of us...it really is like she's half and half. Seriously, the tips of her ears she gets from me but the rest of is so Carl. The same with her nose...she has my shortness and then Carl's dips...two things that are definitely all from me... Her feet, I know you can't see them in this pic but she has long toes just like her mommy.
And then also her tongue..she is what the Pediatrician calls tongue tied...which isn't going to hurt her any but my nipples are definately not so pleased with it. So for now we have to use nipple shields to let them heal and then if they don't help to teach her how to latch and suck properly we may need to get her un-tongue tied so mommy can enjoy feeding times just as much as she does.
My milk came in real fast and the hormones have followed it...thankfully I have a great family who will laugh and comfort me when I cry over the pizza I asked them to order.
Carl's Mom has been a huge help to us, and my Dad is here as well. I love my dad...i just love him words can not express how thankful I am to have him here with me.
So I will try to keep the story ... Basically my due date came and went. So we had a doctor's appointment on the 13th to schedule an induction. At the appointment they ask typical doctory questions like is the baby still moving. Well my answer was yes, but not as much...I figured that was normal she was so cramped in there. The doctor was a little concerned so he had me get an emergency NST test done...well Ellie failed that test so they did an ultra sound and she passed that one. My doctor being the good doc that he is though asked me to go to the hospital on Saturday and see how she was still doing as he didn't really like the results of the other tests. Oh, the test on Saturday was for a NST again, as well as a BPP.
So Saturday Carl and I woke up bright and early, like 7:00am, got ready, went to Panera's and grabbed a light breakfast because I was supposed to eat before the test. We got to the hopsital about 8:00 did the NST for about an hour and waited for the BPP tech to arrive. At 9:30 we got the BPP test done and that took about hour as well.
10:30 we waited for the doc to get back to us with results
11:00 we were told I needed to be admitted for an Induction that day...(uh....we're having a baby today?) No, may not be till tomorrow morning when she finally comes but we're starting today...okay.
12:00 taken to my delivery room...Not sure I want to be here any more, erie feeling when your not in labor and they take you to the labor/delivery room. At this point I'm a little teary eyed because i'm a little scared.
12:30 IV gets inserted and I'm hooked up to the monitor when i'm told I need to stay permentally hooked to everything except when i need to go to the bathroom...yuck.
1:00 Pictocin begins...friend Jen stops by to keep me company while Carl goes to get a few needed supplies to try to get through this thing.
1:30 Contractions take off like crazy. Still coping pretty well though by breathing.
1:45 Call Carl and tell him to get back now...
2:00 Contractions are 1 1/2 minutes apart and very severe...they were only last 30-45 seconds but not much of a break between and not allowed to do coping mechanisms planned equals...a lot of pain!!!
4:00 Contractions now 1 minute apart still getting more intense and decided that if I wanted to push this baby out I needed something other than air.
4:30 Epidural adminstered
5:00...I'm feeling pretty good :)
7:30 ...Water Breaks on it's own baby moving way down
8:30...I'm at 8cm and baby still making her way down --nurse needed to Pitocin way down because contractions were one right on top of the other. The highest dosage of pitocin I got was 8 the dosages go up to 20...yeah my body was like ..."i'm ready to get this baby out..."lol
10:00 the nurse tells me that I'm at 10cm and ready to push...So the rest of the team is called into the room and she prepares and says that i could be pushing for up to 3 hours since i'm a first time mom....I said right there in my head... "there's no way i'm pushing that long...I'm getting this kid out."
10:30 start pushing...
1040 nurse tells other team members who aren't even fully set up yet to make sure that the doctor is waiting cause the baby's coming fast cause momma's pushing hard.
10:45 doctor comes in...
10:50 still pushing and baby's head and one shoulder is out...Momma's tearing a little, other should get stuck behind pubic bone.
Somewhere between 10:50 and 10:57 Momma's pushing like crazy, the whole room is cheering her on and the nurse is practically jumping on her belly to help pop the shoulder under the pubic bone...that was a crazy 7 min...
Baby born at 10:57pm...Mommy's happy that's over, surprised though that it happened so fast and that even with the Epidural she was able to push so well...(she had a great Anestiaologist.)
Baby gets weighed Momma's expecting a small baby because she came out so quickly and was told that little Ellie wasn't so little she weighed 9 pounds and 1 ounce. Wow!
Nurses and Doctor are Congratulating me and telling Carl that they were amazed at how fast that was. None of them have ever seen a woman with or without an epi push out a 9 pound baby in less than 30 minutes...
Some stiching needed but not a lot, Doctor said he was surprised that I tore so little.
So, yeah. That's it...I'm tired but i have a ton of help right now...so I'm resting and chilling and wanted to get this done before they all left because then i'll be on my own...
Hope everyone's doing well :)

Hey momma...hope you are doing well...though you are probably in the lack of sleep and feeling like a milking cow fog by now. It will get better!! I'm so happy for you. She is precious!! Hey, can you e-mail me your address so mom and I can send ellie a little something? Also, do you have lanolin for yourself? It really helped me with dryness.
