Second Sunday in KY

Carl and I went and visited an Inner City church called Immanuel today. We really enjoyed it.

Actually it was really refreshing to attend a Sunday School class, that's right i said "Sunday School class." I haven't been to one of these things for over 2 years now. What made it nice wasn't that I had been away from it for so long but that the Sunday School Class wasn't boring. It actually felt more like a good biblical discussion than it did a formal class.

The church was pretty lad back with a variety of people, some dressed up, some were dressy casual and others were just really casual and then of course there was just a really nice blend of cultures. The Pastor that spoke today was from New Zealand but we were told by church members that he wasn't the typical speaking Pastor, that guy was apparently out of town on a marriage retreat.

The other great thing about the church was that it is very out reach, grace oriented. They have a big emphasis in reaching out to the people in the city.

So there's a good chance we'll definately be back again :)
