I know its been a long time since i last blogged but with getting married and having a honeymoon and all its not a huge surprise I just hope some of you will still read this from time to time.
The wedding was absolutely fantastic, I was so stressed days leading up to it that on the day of Carl told everyone that he would handle all and any last minute issues so all i had to do was relax and try to keep my food in my stomach. LOL.
I recall being so nervous before hand that i felt like i was going to pass out and Vanessa the great matron of honor that she was grabbed a book and told the other girls to grab one as well and they all proceded to fan me down...or up...? depending on where the girl was at around me...lol. It was very humerous.
I had a great last minute conversation with my dad before he walked me down the ilse and we both almost started crying out there in the hall. I was all right but seeing my dad so vulnerable was a first to me and shocked me. It was really obvious that he and the rest of my family had a great time at the wedding.
As i said I was feeling very nervous and almost sick before that isle and when those doors opened up and I saw Carl, ooooohhh, words can't express that moment.
Robb did a great job during the ceremony it was cool having someone so close be apart of such a special day.
Well, fast forwarding to the end...I was not happy with the styrofoam the wedding party just thought that they had to place inside of our car...it took us close to an hour getting all of that stuff out and come on like a newly married couple has nothing better to do for an hour on their honeymoon than to clean up styrofoam...However, carl and I still had a good laugh over the vengence that shall be ours when our friends decide to get married...(very evil laugh.)
For the wedding night Carl took me to one of my favorite places, the Inner Harbor in Baltimore we stayed at the Marriot on the 32nd Floor overlooking the harber. It was Beautiful. And of course we ate out a lot later than we had planned due to other honeymoon circumstances...lol.
It was great. Let's just say...yeah...>I won't go there...It was good.!!!!
Then on Sunday we drove to a Cabin in Virginia after taking time to figure out what we were going to do about Carl's lap top being left back at the hotel in Baltimore...(lol) Later on we decided to have the send it to us rather than going all the way back just to pick it up.
The Cabin was located in the Blue Ridge Mountains right off of the Blue Ridge Parkway...it was gorgeous. A queen bed, fully furnished kitchen, big bathroom, Jacuzzi, TV with Video and DVD player, gas fire place....and located in one of the most God breathed parts of the country i have ever seen....all for a decent price for 139.00 a night (you can't get all of that in a hotel for that price.) We highly recommend it...
It was in the Blue Ridge Mountains that we picked up the first little addition to our new family, Foxy, the Red Foxed. No, he isn't real in the sense of what some consider real to be but to us he is the newest member to the family without any additional messes. lol.
Then on Wednesday we traveled to Williamsburg VA. Had a blast in the historic area took part in a witch trial where the Governor almost had Carl lynched for causing distress on a witness. We also took part in a ghost and legends tour.
And the ending of our honeymoon vacation was on Sunday driving or should i say riding over the chesepeke bay in a Tow Truck....it was actually a lot of Fun.
I will post pictures of our honeymoon adventures as soon as I can.
For now...Good Day.
