There are times when life throws us all for a loop. People we know and love die and we feel hopeless because we can't do much more than sign a card and offer up our prayers.

But i think our prayers are more powerful on a persons soul than any card we could fill with our words. Prayer, prayer is more powerful than we'll ever realize so why do we treat it as though it was powerless.

Maybe we treat it that way when we've prayed for specific things and God has said no. Maybe we treat it that way because when we talk we do not get to see the loving eyes that we are talking to. We do not know God's wisdom and we can only see a small piece of the puzzle that he is putting together.

But prayer is indeed very powerful. Just because he says 'no' or gives us a 'not yet' or even no answer at all doesn't mean that God doesn't care. He loves us, and if you have at times had a hard time believing that then take a moment to reflect on his faithfulness to you. You'll find it and hopefully feel his love and know his goodness.

Some of the most difficult times of my life have also been some of the most beautiful.

Prayer is not powerless, God is still near even if we can't feel him.
