It has been a difficult two weeks here at camp BaYouCa...Staff training week went really well..but our Precious Jewels week was really difficult. As most of you know by now the East coast was hit really hard with rain this past week and there has been severe flooding. Praise God that BaYouCa itself was protected from too much damage our lake flooded a little but not to much other areas weren't so blessed. A good chunk of Binghamton was flooded and has left about 2000 people homeless and the Wilksbare Scranton area was flooded as well.
On top of having all the rain which makes it really hard for the precious jewels who can't move around as it is..the BaYouCa staff recieved a phone call on Wednesday morning informing us that Robert Stockwell (a board member of BaYouCa) had passed away...due to an accident caused by the flooding. I didn't know Robert real well but i did know him and his brother Dan is most definatley one of my best friends. So today i have a funeral to go to the 2nd one I've been to in the past 3 months.
I also have been put in charge of crafts this year which is just so not me on some levels and extremely stretching...it's been a stressful week but I was indeed reminded from Job 38 that if i can't trust the God who knows how deep and wide the oceans are or how vast the universe is who else can i trust.
