2 types of People?

Ever have one of those mornings when you know that you have so much to do for the day but you don't want to quite yet start doing that stuff. Yeah, i'm having one of those mornings...woke up at Louise's house, went and bought a hot chocolate, went for a drive to Lackawanna State Park, drank the hot chocolate, came back to school, and now i can't bring myself to go work out. But work out i must and come back and pack for my trip home this weekend.

I"ve been thinking a lot lately about how different i would be if i had never met certain people. I think there are two types of people in our lives, there are those everyday people who we see in passing but don't really quite affect us at all even though we know there names. And then there are the people that we might not see everyday or may have even only met once in our lives that seem to shape or change us.

Now a change in both types of people throughout our lives effects us greatly but there are moments when only the 2nd of the two types make a difference. I think about this a lot as I am going into my last semester of college. I've seen a lot of faces, I'm used to seeing a lot of the same faces, and while college would not have been the same without those faces, it is only those that have had a great impact on me that are no longer apart of my everyday life that i will seem to truly miss.

Have you ever noticed how big turning points or "rights of passage" (as mr. boenhing would say) make us reflect on what once was and what now is or what it will be?

Well, college isn't over yet...even though some of my closest friends are already gone. I'm still here and i think i will enjoy seeing those familar faces for one last semester.

i don't think it's unusual...i struggle with it a lot too...thinking back to those who really made a difference in shaping who you are and wondering if there will be others when surrounded by a sea of superficial relationships.

I think some people have impact long after they leave your life. You will be brought back again and again..and LATER actually "GET" what that person was about. Its cool how you can "re meet" someone that you once "knew a little" and they have Such tremendous depth, and purpose and Insight for you...that you missed it the first time around.!!

Only the people you let get close enough are the ones who are really going to change you. Just remember that :)
